Two entries in my blog in one day! Inspired? Oh yes. Sustainable? Not so much.

I have in my hands (laptop) the first ever collaborative art sketch by Chris Burke and Valentine Makhouleen, Squid & Ink's lead designer and graphic ninja, respectively.

Pope vs. Priest

Pope vs. Priest 5000

Pope vs. Priest is drawn by Chris and Valentine, and coloured by Valentine. Pope vs. Priest, 5000 A.D. is drawn by Chris and Valentine, and coloured by Chris.

I think these sketches began as a doodle of a happy duck. No, I don't know what drugs they're on. Yes, I'd like some too.

It would be a shame to keep this sort of madness to ourselves, so we will be offering limited edition prints, numbered and signed by the creators, to some of our readers.

To get one, all you need to do is refer a friend to purchase a 1 year subscription to Squid & Ink. If they write your name in the comments section on the first page of the order process, both you and your friend will receive a print with the first issue.

When we run out of Pope vs. Priest prints we'll be giving away other art, including the few remaining copies of Comic Sins issue 1, a comic compilation produced by two Squid & Ink designers, Erin C and Chris Burke; early drafts of the Squid & Ink issue 2 cover; and whatever I can pinch from my artists' sketchbooks.
